Position Summary
The Electrical Assembly Lead will implement responsibilities in accordance with Workplace’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include but are not limited to training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Understand and follow work orders. Enter information correctly into the ERP system.
Ensure that all quality standards are being met, tracking sheets are being correctly filled out and that all information is uploaded to the Quality folder.
Identify potential Continuous Improvement (CI) opportunities and actively participate as a team member for Kaizen, SMED, and other lean activities.
Ability to work from written or verbal instructions.
Ability to grasp working knowledge of cross train opportunities and cross train others.
Assembly and Machine operation capabilities.
Monitor, control, and lead production in department while simultaneously performing production and working on the line.
Set assignments and daily tasks for employees within the department.
Hold other employees within department accountable for production metrics – meeting all KPI’s
Solely responsible for directing and maintaining all 5s activities within department (Organization, cleaning etc.)
Hold department morning meetings, deliver all KPI information to department employees and managers.
Ability to lead and develop employees.
Must be able to simultaneously manage several objectives, changing priorities and reassign priorities to complete assignments.
Perform other tasks as needed.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Requires a high school education or the equivalent.
Ability to interpret simple to complex blueprints.
Ability to use measure tools including tape measures
Ability to do simple to complex mathematical equations in a technical manner.
Ability to communicate work instruction hourly workforce
Ability to coach and train employees
Ability to hold employees accountable to quality and production standards
Abide by and enforce all company policies and procedures and any applicable laws (local, state, federal)
