“Heavy-Duty” means exactly what it says.HeavyDuty-3

Ruggedness and versatility combine to make the ideal workstation in environments where you need a long-lasting workstation that can take abuse over the long run.

With an evenly-distributed weight capacity up to 1500 pounds, Heavy-Duty Workstations are strong, take abuse, and are versatile.

With our ever-expanding line of optional Add-On Accessories, you can customize each Heavy-Duty Workstation for your specific needs, maximizing efficiency and space for nearly any task or application

Stationary Heavy-Duty Workstation

HeavyDuty-7We’ve engineered the Heavy-Duty workstation with features that deliver the optimum combination of durability and flexibility.

  • A full-perimeter tube frame completely supports the tabletop, helping to eliminate sagging or warping.
  • 2” x 2”, square 18-guage, furniture-grade steel tubing.
  • Height adjustability, with several different height ranges available.
  • Leg Sections include micro-adjusting levelers, with a 3/4″± adjustment range for leveling on uneven surfaces.
  • Ribbed rubber pads to prevent skidding or marring.

There’s a wide range of available Add-On Accessories that let you configure the workstation to fit your exact task requirements.

Mobile Heavy-Duty Workstation

Workplace Modular Systems Mobile Heavy-Duty Workstations are ideal for companies and people on the move.

For the ultimate in portability order the Heavy-Duty Workstation as a mobile unit. There is no better way to make costly equipment and materials easily accessible to multiple work areas.

Existing stationary Heavy-Duty Workstations may also be converted to mobile units with the Mobile Retrofit Kit.

There’s a wide range of available Add-On Accessories that let you configure the workstation to fit your exact task requirements.

In-Line Rows of Workstations

HeavyDuty-9

Workplace In-Line Workstations are ideal for configuring continuous rows—stationary or mobile—to create a connected worksurface. There’s no limit to how many workstations can be placed in an in-line configuration, achieving a long working surface for tasks such as cable assembly or sorting materials. Work surfaces fit together snugly, eliminating gaps and uneven surfaces between units. The in-line configuration provides cost savings, space efficiencies, additional leg room—all in an attractive streamlined appearance.

Starting with a Standalone Workstation, you may add as many or as few intermediate units as needed. Different table lengths may be connected within a row. Each section of the in-line row may be customized to be all alike or individually, choosing from the wide range of Add-On Accessories.

L-Shaped and U-Shaped Rows of Heavy-Duty WorkstationsHeavyDuty-8

Heavy-Duty L-Shape or U-Shape configurations are ideal for maximizing valuable floor space, particularly critical in work areas where corners of a room are typically wasted.

A single leg section ties two adjoining tables together, providing a more maneuverable work area, especially for seated work. (The heavy-duty framework eliminates the need for a leg section on the wing unit.)

Additional tables may be joined to either the left or the right of the unit, configuring the exact length needed.

As with all Heavy-Duty configurations, units may be repurposed into new configurations at any time.

Add-On Accessories

HeavyDuty-2Complement your Heavy-Duty Workstation with a wide variety of Add-On Accessories to create the perfect task environment.

Choose from under-table, over-table, computer-related, and a host of other general accessories.

Configuring In-Line Rows of Heavy-Duty Workstations

10125-PThe following guidelines may be helpful in configuring in-line rows of Heavy-Duty Workstations:

  • An in-line row consists of a “Starter” table, followed by any number of “Intermediate” tables.
  • Standard sizes for both Starter and Intermediate tables are 24″, 30″, or 36″ depths x 48″, 60″, or 72″ lengths.
  • All tables in a single row must be of the same depth, but they can be of different lengths.
  • In-line rows may be as short as 2 tables, or as long as you have room for.
  • Mobile in-line rows may also be configured.
  • In-line rows may be designed with full-depth Leg Sections along entire row, or with recessed Legs in the intermediate positions, providing a full 9″ of front clearance along the length of row.  First and last Leg Sections in the row must be full-depth legs.
  • Each table in a row may be equipped with as few or as many Add-on Accessories as needed.
  • Non-standard and custom sizes are also available. However, we recommend the use of standard sizes whenever possible, to allow both present and future use of Add-On Accessories.

Laminate

PLASTIC LAMINATE TOPS
With Post-Formed Front Edge or Standard Front Edge

The 1-1/16” thick Plastic Laminate Top features an easy-to-clean surface for many general purpose applications. A core of 1” dimensionally stable flakeboard is covered with a plastic laminate surface sheet and edging of .039” thick high-pressure laminate. In addition, a plastic laminate backer sheet of approx. .020” thickness covers the underside of the core stock and ¼-20 metal inserts are located in the underside of the tops for ease of fastening to many of the Workplace frames. The resulting top is a well-balanced, long-lasting work surface.

ESD LAMINATE TOPS
With Post-Formed Front Edge or Standard Front Edge

The ESD Tops feature ESD Laminate, a decorative, clean, amino resin laminate which rapidly dissipates static electrical charges, and is recommended for use in areas which must be free of static electrical charges. The ESD Top is equipped with a flush-mount grounding system (factory-installed) with grounding hardware located on the underside of the Top. A flush-mount grounding bolt is located in the top of the worksurface (at the rear). The flush-mount ground system also includes two banana plugs set flush in the front edge for convenient connection of customer-supplied wrist straps. The ESD Top is fabricated with a dimensionally stable 1” flakeboard used as core stock, with a surface sheet of ESD Laminate covering the top surface and all edges. A plastic laminate backing sheet of at least .020” thickness covers the underside of the top.

Note: ESD Tops require connection to your earth ground system.
